Ele deixa quatro filhos e sete netos, al\u00e9m da esposa Marluce Bittencourt. Administrador de empresas e empres\u00e1rio, Daniel foi, por muitos anos, cronista de pol\u00edtica no jornal Intera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Araxaense de nascen\u00e7a e de cora\u00e7\u00e3o, Daniel foi enterrado em Monte Alegre de Minas, terra natal de sua esposa no \u00faltimo s\u00e1bado. Ele faleceu meia hora depois de completar 76 anos no dia 10 de maio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daniel era irm\u00e3o dos jornalistas Alcino de Freitas, tamb\u00e9m j\u00e1 falecido, e de Jo\u00e3o Batista de Freitas, ambos tamb\u00e9m cronistas do Intera\u00e7\u00e3o por muitos anos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al\u00e9m de Jo\u00e3o, ficam os irm\u00e3os Maria Concei\u00e7\u00e3o, residente em Arax\u00e1, Nicanor em S\u00e3o Paulo e Fernando, residente em Uberaba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daniel sempre foi uma pessoa especial, cuidava de todos da fam\u00edlia e tratava a todos como amigos.
